About The Huntsvillan

The Huntsvillan is Walker County's independent news source, launched in September 2025. We feature stories both light and serious, roughly one each week. You can subscribe for free by clicking the button at top right and receive occasional e-mails when we post new stuff.

Stories are posted on our main page and also organized into four sections: Say What?, about everyday goings on; Public Accountability, about government; Department of Human Endeavor, about creative and expressive activity; and the Humor Pen, the light side of life. All focus on Huntsville and Walker County.
